Help Us Celebrate St. John Bosco School After 42 years of educating students, SJB School will close in June. But rather than focus on the negative closing, we intend to focus on the positive - the excellence in Catholic education at SJB over these 42 years. There are two events planned: One is a special liturgy, scheduled for 11:30 AM on Sunday, June 1st, to which are invited former faculty members, students and anyone associated with our school over the years. We are currently working on an invitation list. (If you know of anyone who belongs on the list, please notify the school office with name and address.) It's very difficult to contact former students, so in addition to word of mouth, we intend to put notices in the local newspapers. We will tell you more later, but for the time being please mark this date and pass the word to anyone interested. The other event is a celebration of our school's history . This event, sponsored by our PTU, is Saturday, May 17th, in the Bell Tower from 6:30 to 11:30 PM. We are honoring the faculty and are inviting the entire parish to help us. The faculty, some of whom have been with us for decades, need to hear from us how indebted we are to them. This event gives us the opportunity to do just that. So mark the date and please come. |
