Living the Faith
We are called to live our faith – even during the summer months. Be sure to attend Mass with your children on Sundays. Find out where Catholic churches are located near your vacation spots. We all need the Eucharist to sustain our spiritual selves, even when school is not in session.
The final SJB school Mass will be at 9:30 AM on Tuesday, June 10th. All families are encouraged to attend this Mass with the children and teachers.

Saint Vincent de Paul Collection
Our TWO final school collections for Saint Vincent de Paul will help many people in the near future. We collected over 400 food items in the month of May. Please look for future opportunities to help others in need at SJB parish through announcements at Mass and in the bulletin. Count your blessings and then help others.

Drug Awareness and Resistance Education
The sixth grade students at Saint John Bosco participated in the DARE program once again this year. It is a quality program that teaches children the skills to make positive choices in their lives- now and well into the future. We thank our new DARE instructor this year, Officer Dan Kravanis, for his dedication and willingness to share the program with the children. Thanks to Mrs. Suvak for supporting this program in the classroom. Congratulations to all the students for completing the program successfully. A special congratulations to the author of the “best essay” contest, Jimmy Byrne, and to the top student in the DARE class, Jennifer Horvath.

VIRTUS and fingerprinting
In your Thursday folders today are your VIRTUS certificates and fingerprint records as received by the school in the past years. If your fingerprint records are more than one year old, they are generally not considered valid. We can only return the certificates and current records that we have on file. We are not keeping copies of your certificates or records in the school. If you were part of the fingerprinting session coordinated by the Athletic Association in January 2008, your records may have been sent to the rectory and already filed with all the others. Please call the rectory at 440-886-3500 to request a copy. Sorry for the inconvenience.
